KATHMANDU, JAN 18 - Police on Friday arrested the proprietor of Dreams Unlimited, Sujan Acharya, for his alleged involvement in sending Sita Rai , who was robbed by TIA immigration official two months back, to Saudia Arabia with a fake passport.
Acharya was arrested after the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) recorded the statement of Bimala KC—the person in whose name the passport bore by Rai was issued. Rai was bearing the passport of KC who hails from Parbat district.
He is locked up at Metropolitan Police Range Hanumandhoka after the authority began the investigation of the agents involved in sending Rai, an origin of Bhojpur, with the passport of KC.
According to an investigation official, the Dreams Unlimited had given her Rs 5,000 in compensation three years ago when she went to ask for the passport she submitted at the manpower company.
Meanwhile, the CIB has decided to initiate investigation of another complaint filed against the manpower
Upon her return from Saudi Arabia, where she went to work as a domestic help, Rai was arrested two months ago by immigration officials at TIA for carrying fake passport. Later she was robbed by a TIA official and raped by a police constable.
